For those who missed it: on 16. June, Siri Eriksen, Jan Thomas Odegard and Erik Kolstad presented C-Hub in a meeting hosted by NORAD and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting was attended by a wide range of civil society, academic and policy maker actors, and included introductions by Dag-Inge Ulstein, the Minister of Development, and Bård Vegar Solhjell ,the Director of NORAD (Norwegian agency for development cooperation). Several of our members and partners were present and contributed to an interesting discussion.
The goal of our platform – to create an area for critical reflection, information exchange and learning across actors and themes of climate change adaptation in development – addresses and urgent need for strengthened learning among actors involved in climate change adaptation. With our mutual interest to bring about their climate adaptation strategy, we believe this partnership will strengthen C-Hub´s goals to create a network of knowledge exchange and develop innovative methods for implementing climate change adaptation.
We will continue our work Thursday 24. June with a seminar led by Dr Katharine Vincent:
“Learning from climate change adaptation interventions in Malawi”
Katharine will talk about the general need to learn from adaptation interventions in Malawi, drawing from practical experiences from a range of initiatives, including the Building Resilience and Adapting to Climate Change initiative.
We welcome everyone to join this seminar, hope to “see” you there!
